Doom (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed) are recognized as the first WCW World Tag Team Champions.

1. Ron Simmons & Butch Reed defeated Rick & Scott Steiner on 05/19/90 in Washington, D.C. at Capital Combat to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles.
2. Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin defeated Ron Simmons & Butch Reed on 02/24/91 in Phoenix, Arizona at Wrestle War to win the titles for the 2nd time.  (Includes 1 reign as NWA World Tag Team Champions).
   • In an insulting booking decision from World Championship Wrestling, Hayes & Garvin lost the titles at a television taping to Rick & Scott Steiner, which took place 6 days before the Wrestle War pay-per-view.  Technically, the Freebirds title reign lasted negative 6 days.  Footage of the Steiners' title win aired on 03/09/91.
3. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin on 02/18/91 in Montgomery, Alabama to win the titles for the 2nd time.  (Includes 1 reign as NWA World Tag Team Champions).
   • During this reign, Rick & Scott also won the IWGP Tag Team Titles.  The Steiner Brothers were forced to vacate both championships on 07/18/91 when Scott suffered an injury.
4. Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszbko defeated Rick Steiner & Bill Kazmaier in a tournament final on 09/05/91 in Augusta, Georgia at Clash of the Champions to win the vacant titles.
5. Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes defeated Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko on 11/19/91 in Savannah, Georgia at Clash of the Champions to win the titles.
6. Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton defeated Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes on 01/16/92 in Jacksonville, Florida to win the titles.
7. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton on 05/03/92 in Chicago, Illinois to win the titles for a 3rd time.
   • During this reign, Rick & Scott also won the IWGP Tag Team Titles.
8. Terry Gordy & Steve Williams defeated Rick & Scott Steiner on 07/05/92 in Atlanta, Georgia to win the titles.
   • During this reign, Gordy & Williams also won the NWA World Tag Team Titles on 07/12/92 in a tournament final to create the "Unified World Tag Team Titles".
9. Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes defeated Terry Gordy & Steve Williams on 09/21/92 in Atlanta, Georgia to win the titles.
10. Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas defeated Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes on 11/18/92 in Macon, Georgia at Clash of the Champions to win the titles.
11. Steve Austin & Brian Pillman defeated Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas on 03/02/93 in Macon, Georgia to win the titles.
12. Arn Anderson & Paul Roma defeated Steve Austin & Lord Steven Regal on 08/18/93 in Daytona, Florida at Clash of the Champions to win the titles.
    • Regal substituted for the injured Brian Pillman.  The titles become only the WCW World Tag Team Title in September 1993 when World Championship Wrestling drops recognition of the NWA.

34. Kevin Nash & Scott Hall defeated Booker T. & Stevie Ray on 10/27/96 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Halloween Havoc to win the titles.
    • Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Hall & Nash to win the titles on 01/26/97 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at nWo Souled Out '97, but WCW Vice President Eric Bischoff ordered them to return the titles due to unassigned WCW referee Randy Anderson making the pin count.
    • The Giant & Lex Luger defeated Hall & Nash to win the titles on 02/23/97 in San Francisco, California at SuperBrawl VII, but WCW Vice President Eric Bischoff ordered them to return the titles due to Lex Luger's involvement in the match, since he was not medically cleared to wrestle.
35. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Scott Hall & Syxx on 10/13/97 in Tampa, Florida to win the titles for the 5th time.
    • Syxx substituted for Kevin Nash.
36. Scott Hall & Kevin Nash defeated Rick & Scott Steiner on 01/12/98 in Jacksonville, Florida to win the titles for the 2nd time.
37. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Scott Hall & Kevin Nash on 02/09/98 in El Paso, Texas to win the titles for the 6th time.
38. Kevin Nash & Scott Hall defeated Rick & Scott Steiner on 02/22/98 in San Francisco, California at SuperBrawl VIII to win the titles for the 3rd time.
39. Sting & The Giant defeated Kevin Nash & Scott Hall on 05/17/98 in Worcester, Massachusetts at Slamboree to win the titles.
    • Sting & The Giant vacated the titles on 06/04/98 after they refused to team together.
    • WCW Executive Chairman James J. Dillon rules that Sting and The Giant would compete in a singles match, with the winner selecting a new partner to hold the titles with.
40. Sting defeated The Giant on 06/14/98 in Baltimore, Maryland at The Great American Bash to win the titles.
    • Sting chooses nWo Wolfpack teammate Kevin Nash as his partner.
41. Scott Hall & The Giant defeated Sting & Kevin Nash on 07/20/98 in Salt Lake City, Utah to win the titles.
42. Rick Steiner defeated The Giant & Scott Steiner on 10/25/98 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Halloween Havoc to win the titles.
    • Scott Steiner substituted for Scott Hall, who already had a match at the pay-per-view.  "Buff" Bagwell feigns a partnership with Rick Steiner during the match and left him to wrestle by himself.  Rick defeated the nWo team by himself.
    • On the 10/26/98 edition of WCW Monday Nitro at Phoenix, Arizona, Steiner chose Kenny Kaos as a new tag team partner to defend the titles.  However, Bagwell & Steiner brutally attacked Kaos on 11/02/98 and put him out of action
    • On the 11/09/98 edition of WCW Monday Nitro at Long Island, New York, Steiner chose Judy Bagwell as a new tag team partner to defend the titles.  However, Scott Steiner brutally attacked her (off camera) and she was put in a hospital.
    • The titles were vacated in January 1999 due to inactivity and Rick Steiner's injury.
43. Barry Windham & Curt Hennig defeated Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko in a tournament final on 02/21/99 in Oakland, California at SuperBrawl IX to win the vacant titles.
44. Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko defeated Barry Windham & Curt Hennig on 03/14/99 in Louisville, Kentucky at Uncensored to win the titles.
45. Rey Mysterio, Jr. & Billy Kidman defeated Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko on 03/29/99 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to win the titles.
46. Raven & Perry Saturn defeated Rey Mysterio, Jr. & Billy Kidman on 05/09/99 in St. Louis, Missouri at Slamboree to win the titles.
    • This was a "triangle" match also involving Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko.
47. Dallas Page & Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Perry Saturn & Chris Kanyon on 05/31/99 in Houston, Texas to win the titles.
    • Kanyon substituted for Raven, who had been attacked earlier.  Kanyon was pinned following a simple clothesline from Page.  Kanyon turned on his friend Saturn and joined Bigelow & Page as the "Jersey Triad" soon after, obviously having handed the titles to them on a silver platter.
    • Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn defeated Page & Bigelow on the 06/07/99 edition of WCW Monday Nitro to win the titles.  Saturn substituted for WCW President Ric Flair, who left Benoit all alone during the match.  On the 06/10/99 edition of WCW Thunder, Flair ruled that the title change was nullified due to Saturn's illegal substitution during the match.
    • During this reign, WCW President Ric Flair ruled that in addition to Bigelow & Page, Chris Kanyon could defend the titles, as well.
48. Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn defeated Dallas Page & Chris Kanyon on 06/10/99 in Syracuse, New York to win the titles.
49. Dallas Page & Chris Kanyon defeated Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn on 06/13/99 in Baltimore, Maryland at The Great American Bash to win the titles.
50. Booker T. & Stevie Ray defeated Bam Bam Bigelow & Chris Kanyon on 08/14/99 in Sturgis, South Dakota at Road Wild to win the titles for the 8th time.
51. Barry & Kendall Windham defeated Booker T. & Stevie Ray on 08/23/99 in Las Vegas, Nevada to win the titles.
52. Booker T. & Stevie Ray defeated Barry & Kendall Windham on 09/12/99 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at Fall Brawl to win the titles for the 9th time.

    • Konnan & Mysterio, Jr. were stripped of the titles on 10/24/99 due to Mysterio's injury.

56. Patrick & Gerald (aka Ron & Don Harris) defeated Konnan & Billy Kidman on 11/22/99 in Auburn Hills, Michigan to win the titles.
57. Bret Hart & Bill Goldberg defeated Patrick & Gerald on 12/07/99 in Madison, Wisconsin to win the titles.

    • Hall & Nash were stripped of the titles on 12/17/99 due to Hall not being at the show due to a knee injury.
59. David Flair & Crowbar defeated Kevin Nash & Scott Steiner in a tournament final on 01/03/00 in Greenville, South Carolina to win the vacant titles.
    • This was a "Lethal Lottery" tournament, in which partners were randomly selected to compete together.
60. Big Vito & Johnny the Bull defeated David Flair & Crowbar on 01/18/00 in Evansville, Indiana to win the titles.
61. Ron & Don Harris defeated Big Vito & Johnny the Bull on 02/12/99 on Oberhausen, Germany to win the titles for the 2nd time.
62. Big Vito & Johnny the Bull defeated Ron & Don Harris on 02/13/00 in Leipzig, Germany to win the titles for the 2nd time.
63. Ron & Don Harris defeated Big Vito & Johnny the Bull on 03/19/00 in Miami, Florida at Uncensored to win the titles for the 3rd time.
    • WCW Executives Vince Russo & Eric Bischoff stripped all titleholders of their championships on 04/10/00 om Denver, Colorado, to "relaunch" World Championship Wrestling on a "level playing field".
64. Shane Douglas & "Buff" Bagwell defeated Ric Flair & The Total Package (Lex Luger) in a tournament final on 04/16/00 in Chicago, Illinois at Spring Stampede to win the vacant titles.
65. Brian Adams & Bryan Clarke defeated Shane Douglas & The Wall on 05/15/00 in Biloxi, Mississippi to win the titles.
    • The Wall substituted for Bagwell, who was suspended.
66. Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo defeated Brian Adams & Bryan Clarke on 05/30/00 in Nampa, Idaho to win the titles.
    • Stasiak & Palumbo won the titles via disqualification, as the pre-match stipulation indicated they could.
67. Brian Adams & Bryan Clarke defeated Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo on 07/09/00 in Daytona Beach, Florida at Bash at the Beach to win the titles for the 2nd time.
68. The Great Muta & Vampiro defeated Brian Adams & Bryan Clarke on 08/13/00 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at New Blood Rising to win the titles.
69. Juventud Guerrera & Rey Mysterio, Jr. defeated The Great Muta & Vampiro on 08/14/00 in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada to win the titles.
    • Guerrera & Mysterio were forced to vacate the titles when their ally Disqo put up their title reign against The Cat's WCW Comissionership in a match, with Cat winning.
70. Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire won a tag-team battle royal on 09/25/00 in Uniondale, New York to win the titles.
71. Lt. Loco (Chavo Guerrero, Jr.) & Crpl. Cajun (Lash LeRoux) defeated Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire on 10/09/00 in Sydney, Australia to win the titles.
72. Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire defeated Lt. Loco & Crpl. Cajun on 10/09/99 in Sydney, Australia to win the titles for the 2nd time.
73. Alex Wright & General Rection (Hugh Morrus) defeated Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire on 11/16/00 in Oberhausen, Germany to win the titles.
    • Rection was substituting for Disqo.  This was a non-televised event.  The announcement of the title change was made to indicate Wright & Disqo (not Rection) had won the titles.
74. Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo defeated Alex Wright & Elix Skipper on 11/20/99 in Augusta, Georgia to win the titles for the 2nd time.
    • Skipper defended the titles with Wright due to Disqo's injury, and Rection not being referred to on-air as the actual co-champion.
    • Kevin Nash & Dallas Page defeated Stasiak & Palumbo on 11/26/00 at Mayhem to win the titles, but WCW Comissioner Mike Sanders returned the titles to Stasiak & Palumbo on 12/04/00 due to the fact that Nash pinned Stasiak, who was not the legal man in the match.
75. Kevin Nash & Dallas Page defeated Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo on 12/17/00 in Washington, D.C. at Starrcade to win the titles.
76. Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire defeated Kevin Nash & Dallas Page on 01/14/01 in Indianapolis, Indiana at Sin to win the titles.
    • During this reign, Vince McMahon (owner of the World Wrestling Federation) purchases World Championship Wrestling in March 2001.  The champions begin appearing on WWF programming in July 2001.
77. The Undertaker & Kane defeated Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire on 08/07/01 in Los Angeles, California to win the titles.
    • During this reign, Undertaker & Kane also win the WWF World Tag Team Titles.   The titles are not unified and defended in seperate matches, however.
78. Booker T. & Test defeated The Undertaker & Kane on 09/25/01 in Dayton, Ohio to win the titles.
79. Matt & Jeff Hardy defeated Booker T. & Test on 10/08/01 in Indianapolis, Indiana to win the titles.
80. Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley defeated Matt & Jeff Hardy on 10/23/01 in Omaha, Nebraska to win the titles.
    • On 11/18/91 at the 2001 Survivor Series, Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley defeated WWF World Tag Team Champions Matt & Jeff Hardy to unify the WCW and WWF World Tag Team Titles.  Later on the show, the WCW/ECW Alliance was ended, and the WWF World Tag Team Titles remained.
