The former NWA World Television Title was officially referred to as the WCW World Television Title from January 1991 forward.  

"Z-Man" Tom Zenk is recognized as the first WCW Television Champion.

2. Arn Anderson defeated Tom Zenk on 01/14/91 in Marietta, Georgia to win the title.  (Anderson also has 2 previous NWA Television Title reigns).
3. Bobby Eaton defeated Arn Anderson on 05/19/91 at SuperBrawl I in St. Petersburg, Florida to win the title.
4. Steve Austin defeated Bobby Eaton on 06/03/91 in Birmingham, Alabama to win the title.
5. Barry Windham defeated Steve Austin on 04/27/91 in Atlanta, Georgia to win the title.
6. Steve Austin defeated Barry Windham on 05/23/92 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to win the title for the 2nd time.
7. Ricky Steamboat defeated Steve Austin on 09/02/92 at Clash of the Champions XX in Atlanta, Georgia to win the title.
8. Scott Steiner defeated Ricky Steamboat on 09/29/92 in Columbus, Georgia to win the title.                  
   • Title is vacated in November 1992 when Scott Steiner quits World Championship Wrestling and signs with the World Wrestling Federation.
9. Paul Orndorff defeated Erik Watts on 03/02/93 in a Tournament Final in Macon, Georgia to win the title.
10. Ricky Steamboat defeated Paul Orndorff on 08/18/93 at Clash of the Champions XXIV in Daytona Beach, Florida to win the title for the 2nd time.
11. Lord Steven Regal defeated Ricky Steamboat on 09/19/93 at Fall Brawl in Houston, Texas to win the title.
12. Larry Zbyszko defeated Lord Steven Regal on 05/02/94 in Atlanta, Georgia to win the title.
13. Lord Steven Regal defeated Larry Zbyszko on 06/23/94 at Clash of the Champions XXVII in Charleston, South Carolina to win the title for the 2nd time.
14. Johnny B. Badd defeated Lord Steven Regal on 09/18/94 at Fall Brawl in Roanoke, Virginia to win the title.
15. Arn Anderson defeated Johnny B. Badd on 01/18/95 in Atlanta, Georgia to win the title for the 2nd time.
16. The Renegade defeated Arn Anderson on 06/18/96 in Dayton, Ohio at The Great American Bash to win the title.

29. Perry Saturn defeated Disco Inferno on 11/03/97 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to win the title.

34. Chris Benoit defeated Booker T. on 04/30/98 in Augusta, Georgia to win the title.
35. Booker T. defeated Chris Benoit on 05/01/98 in Greenville, South Carolina to win the title for the 3rd time.
36. Chris Benoit defeated Booker T. on 05/02/98 in Charleston, South Carolina to win the title for the 2nd time.
37. Booker T. defeated Chris Benoit on 05/03/98 in Savannah, Georgia to win the title for the 4th time.
38. Fit Finley defeated Booker T. on 05/04/98 in Indianapolis, Indiana to win the title.
39. Booker T. defeated Fit Finley on 06/14/98 at The Great American Bash in Baltimore, Maryland to win the title for the 5th time.                                                              
    • Stevie Ray, brother of Booker T., dubiously claims that Booker is allowing him to defend the title due to the champion's knee injury suffered on 07/12/98.
40. Chris Jericho defeated Stevie Ray on 08/10/98 in Rapid City, South Dakota to win the title.
41. Konan defeated Chris Jericho on 11/30/98 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to win the title.
42. Scott Steiner defeated Konan on 12/28/98 in Baltimore, Maryland to win the title.
43. Booker T. defeated Scott Steiner on 03/14/99 at Uncensored in Louisville, Kentucky to win the title for the 6th time.
44. Rick Steiner defeated Booker T. on 05/09/99 at Slamboree in St. Louis, Missouri to win the title for the 2nd time, including a NWA Television Title reign.
45. Chris Benoit defeated Rick Steiner on 09/13/99 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to win the title for a 3rd time.
46. Rick Steiner defeated Chris Benoit on 10/24/99 at Halloween Havoc in Las Vegas, Nevasa to win the title for a 2nd time.                                                                     
    • Rick Steiner is stripped of the WCW World Television Title on 11/21/99 due to injury.
47. Scott Hall is awarded the title due to Steiner not being able to compete in the title match on 11/21/99 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.                                                        
    • Title is abandoned when Hall throws the title into a trash can on 11/29/99.
48. Jim Duggan declares himself champion on 02/16/00 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.                                                                                                              
    • Duggan finds the title in the trash, brings up its heritage and promises to be a proud champion.  The title is unofficially declared inactive by Eric Bischoff & Vince Russo on 04/10/00 and forgotten about.
